Glass Fiber Reinforced Gypsum (GRG) consists of high-strength resistant glass fibers bonded with high-density gypsum cement to produce panels traditionally done with plaster castings. GRG is lighter in weight, superior in strength and much easier to install than the traditional plaster castings .GRG tiles focus with Fully Perforated tiles & Semi Perforated Ceiling Tiles. Glass Fiber Reinforced Gypsum (GRG) is the bridge to shapes and curves for the drywall/plasterboard trades. With the move away from “less is more” in the late 1970s and the re-introduction of traditional architectural forms, GRG evolved as the ideal medium. The construction boom of the past four decades established Glass Fiber Reinforced Gypsum as it means for architects and designers to achieve their design visions, while leveraging the experience of regular building trades. Today, Glass Fiber Reinforced Gypsum is used to achieve modern and “organic” shapes on walls and ceiling, in addition to traditional architectural shapes. Oreo Metal Mesh ceilings are becoming widely popular amongst designers due to their raw industrial appearance.
SPECIFICATION
Providing & fixing false ceilings at all heights with GRG (Glass Fibre Reinforced Gypsum) false ceiling tiles of Size 595×595 mum of approved texture, design, and patterns having a moisture content less than 2%, humidity resistance of 99%, NRC 0.50 to 0.75 as per IS 8225:1987, Non-combustible as per BS 476 (part-4- 1970 and light reflectance of 85% (minimum) to be laid in true horizontal level suspended on inter-locking met al T-Grid of hot dipped galvanized iron section of 0.33mm thick (galvanized @ 120 grams per sqm including both sides) comprising of main-T runners of size
15×32 min of length 1200 man and secondary intermediate cross-T of size 15×32 mm of length 600mm to form grid module of size 600 x 600 mm, suspended from ceiling using galvanized mild steel items (galvanizing @ 80 grams per sqm) ie. 50 mm long, 8 mm outer diameter M-6 dash fasteners, 6 mm dia fully threaded hanger rod up to 1000 mm length, and L-shape level adjuster of size 85x25x2 mm. Galvanized iron perimeter wall angle of size 24x24x0.40 mm of length 3000 mm to be fixed on periphery wall/ 1 on periphery partition with the help of plastic rawl plugs at 450 mm center to center and 40 mm long drywall SS screws. The work shall be carried out as per the specifications, drawings and as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.
- With semi-perforated 12 mm thick micro tegular edged GRG false ceiling tiles.
- With fully perforated 12 mm thick micro tegular edged or 10 mm thick square edged GRG false ceiling tiles.
